Overview
Hishab Ledger is a personal hisab, due and payment tracker designed for offline use. The app does not require an account and does not declare the Android INTERNET permission.
Information stored by the app
When you use Hishab Ledger, information you enter—such as shop or person names, optional phone numbers and addresses, opening balances, due and payment amounts, dates, timestamps and notes—is stored locally on your Android device for the app's normal operation.
This ledger information is not automatically uploaded to a Hishab Ledger server.
Notifications
Hishab Ledger can use Android notifications for optional due-date reminders. The app requests POST_NOTIFICATIONS on supported Android versions so those reminders can be shown. It also uses RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED to restore scheduled reminders after a device restart.
App lock and biometrics
If you enable the optional PIN or biometric app lock, the app uses local Android security mechanisms to protect access. Hishab Ledger does not receive or store your fingerprint, face scan, or other biometric data.
Backups and exports
You can choose to create JSON backups, full-data CSV exports, shop-wise CSV exports, and PDF statements. These files are created through Android's file picker and are saved wherever you choose. Hishab Ledger does not automatically upload these files.
Sharing
If you use the Share Statement feature, Android's system share sheet sends the text you selected to the app or service you choose. That destination may process the information according to its own privacy policy. Hishab Ledger does not independently upload the shared statement.
Data deletion
You control the records stored by the app. You can delete individual records or use the app's deletion and Recently Deleted features. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data according to Android's normal app-data handling. Exported backup, CSV or PDF files remain wherever you saved them until you delete those files yourself.
Third-party services and advertising
The Android app does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, account services, or a remote data collection service. The app's core functionality is local and offline.
Website privacy
This privacy policy describes the Android app. The Hishab Ledger website may receive normal web-server technical logs when pages are requested. If you voluntarily submit the website contact form, the information you enter (such as your name, email address and message) is processed through Formspree so the message can be delivered. That website contact processing is separate from the Android app's local ledger data.
Children
Hishab Ledger is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app does not require an account.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The latest version will always be published at this URL.
